About

Welcome to Laura’s Sweet Spot!

I LOVE food. Not only is it delicious but so many memories are anchored into moments that stem around great food. So in a very real way, food is nostalgic. I started food blogging in the spring of 2011 using a free blogger account. It wasn’t until late October 2011 that I upgraded to a “.com” using WordPress. As far as the world of blogging is concerned I am still very new. I’ve been cooking/baking since my sophomore year in college. That may not seem like too long ago when you consider the fact that I am 24. But! I am always in the kitchen baking or cooking up something delicious. So, when you consider the dedication I have you’ll realize that age isn’t what makes the expert, it’s passion. I hope that you can find as much inspiration in the kitchen from the posts and recipes you view on my site as I have from others.

If you want a little insight into my life, let me help you. As I said before, I am 24 and a self taught cook/baker. At the moment I live in Ansbach, Germany with my Husband and beautiful daughter. I am from Glens Falls, NY (hit the City and keep going North!). My Husband is a Warrant Officer for the Army and fly’s black hawks. One day I’d like to settle back down on the East coast once all this Army hip-hopping is done, but until then I am happier than I ever could have imagined!

So, let me share some happiness with you through the way of food! Please check out my recipes and posts on my site and see if you can find a dish to build a memory from too : )

The Sweet Spot is now going to be one of my favorite places to go to for some of your fun, awesome, and not to mention memory building recipes.

This is a well done and thought out suite and I love it. Your photos of all your finished recipes are a true feast for the eyes. These photos come to life stirring up your senses to reach into the picture, grab one of these wonderful delights and enjoy the fragrance, taste, and textures of all your recipes. So, I guess I will have to get into the kitchen and start creating some of these wonderful recipes.

Keep up this wonderful work and thank you for sharing recipes that will not only build memories around my table but, for many others families as they gather around their tables with laughter, fun, and food.

Blessing to you and your beautiful family.

My husband was with the Air Force flying different helicopters. He now flies helico in Louisiana. We really enjoyed our time in the service.

I found your site from your recipe (Blueberry Buckle) on Pinterest. But it linked to RecipeNewZ. I like to pin from an original source… then started to read all of your amazing recipes!
Thank you for sharing your passion you have in the kitchen. (I am the same way!)
